Brightway Insurance names Howard new

chief marketing officer

Brightway Insurance, a leading national independent insurance retailer, has named Talman Howard as the company's new chief marketing officer.

Brightway Insurance, with more than 110 stores nationwide, has experienced significant growth in recent years and plans to open 50 new franchise stores in 2013.

Howard will be responsible for Brightway's national distribution, carrier relationships and marketing.

Prior to accepting the position at Brightway, Howard had a lengthy career in the insurance industry. Key roles preparing him for this position include marketing and distribution leadership responsibilities at Progressive and Kemper.

Michael Miller, who previously served as the company's chief marketing officer, will become Brightway's vice chairman.

In 2012, Brightway announced plans to expand its brand into 17 states.

announces new product

Custom Packaging & Products Inc., a food packaging manufacturer, announces a new product that is designed to keep cheese fresh longer. The custom-printed cheese paper is uniquely made to extend the life of cheese by maintaining proper levels of humidity. The paper is also custom printed with a company's logo or message.

CP&P's new cheese packaging uses one-ply, polyethylene-coated paper. This offers a stronger, more adaptable substrate than the two-ply cheese papers which are imported from overseas.

A company's custom logo or design may be printed onto the packaging in any color they choose. (Currently only one-color printing is available for this product.) The cheese paper is available in white or brown paper, and may be purchased in small quantities, in sheets or rolls. As with all of CP&P's products, it is printed in Cape Coral, Florida on USDA-approved direct-contact base stocks.

Green Reed Interiors Home Decor and Design Studio opens in Fort Myers

A unique interior design studio and home dcor store featuring repurposed and handmade furniture and accessories has opened in Fort Myers to provide an alternative to traditional decorating options.

Founded by Fort Myers residents Lisa Green and Sue Reed, who collectively have more than 20 years of interior design experience, Green Reed Interiors offers furniture and accessories that have been lovingly restored, repurposed and hand created.

The studio carries a variety of furniture, textiles, home accessories, upscale candle lines and jewelry by local artists. New inventory coming soon includes custom bedding and draperies, and encaustic paintings by noted Atlanta artist Andrea Costa www.andreacosta.me.

Interior design services include consultation, on-site decorating, re-upholstery and custom furniture refinishing.
