Freshman leads Seahawks' soccer victory again

For the second game in a row, freshman Gianni Cognata scored three goals to lead the Cape Coral Seahawks to an 8-0 victory Wednesday night over Dunbar.

The final goal came with 15 minutes left in the second half, invoking the mercy rule.

Elijah Vega contributed two goals for the Seahawks while Kevin Villa, Juan Cano and Miguel martinez each added one goal.

Oscar Camacho was credited with two assists with one each coming from Camilo Avendano, martinez, Cano and Cognata.

Goalkeepers Alex Colazzo and Austin Lachman shared time in the net with four saves apiece.

The Seahawks (2-0) play at Ida Baker Thursday night.
