Gillion Margaret Crosdale, 63, a Cape Coral resident since 2005, formerly of South Florida, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. She was born Aug. 22, 1949. in Jamaica to Kenneth and Advira Pottinger, now deceased.

She was a lady who loved her Bible and her Lord. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Joan Moodie of Cape Coral; four sisters, Patricka E. (Bernard) Taylor, also of Cape Coral, Greta (Leslie) Ellis of Chicago, Olive Greaves of Cape Coral and her adopted sister Jennifer Brown, also of Cape Coral; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Marcia Daniel of Florida, Jacqueline Small of Illinois and Len Hope of Florida; and a special cousin, Judith Campbell of New York.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Pottinger, in 1999.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Hope United Methodist Church, 2006 South Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral, with the Rev. Lee Carnahan officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Committal services will follow the funeral at Coral Ridge Cemetery. A reception will follow the committal at 1205 N.W. 26th Place, Cape Coral, (239) 283-4558.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hope United Methodist Church, 2006 South Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33991.
