Branch of Life Christian Fellowship

The Branch of Life Christian Fellowship is a bilingual, spirit-filled, contemporary Christian church.

Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. with Children's Church provided. Wednesday Bible Studies are at 7 p.m. All faith backgrounds are welcome.

Cape Alliance Church

Cape Alliance Church's current sermon series is "Journey with God; cure for a wasted life."

On Monday evenings at 7, Women in the Word continue their "Survey of the Bible." All women are invited to attend, learn and make new friends. A complete schedule of the fall session is located at Cape4Christ.com.

Each Tuesday morning at 10:30, Older Adults Knowing the Savior study various Bible books and topics. All older adults are welcome to participate.

On Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., the "Coffee and Conversation" Club will discuss "Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonheoffer. The discussion group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The schedule is available at Cape4Christ.com.

Thursdays at 6:15 p.m., the church offers free English lessons to anyone interested. Bring your friends.

Each second and fourth Thursday at 6 p.m., women gather to knit and crochet shawls and pray for others. Participate in this ministry to the community and world.

Middle and high school student ministries "Ignite" and "Reson8" meet every Sunday evening at 6.

Cape Coral First United Methodist Church

Celebrate Halloween at Cape Coral First United Methodist Church with its annual Trunk or Treat celebration! Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. There will be fun, music, games and trunkloads of candy. There will also be free pizza, free snow cones, free popcorn and free cotton candy. Bring friends and dress in your costume.

GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Classes are Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Parlor (room 104). Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. During small group discussion time, you'll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own. GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is "self-contained" so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.

Foundations Early Learning Center provides childcare, preschool and afterschool care for children from infants to 4 years old in a new facility as part of the growing family and youth programs. Free VPK is also offered. The preschool's website is www.foundationselc.org. Small class sizes with an experienced staff and affordable rates are offered. A discount is available for children of "first responders" (police, fire, EMT) as well as Lee County teachers. Come visit, tour the facility, and meet Director Mary Richardson. The Intersection Youth Ministry of Cape Coral First will be talking about Temptation and how to avoid it. We'll be looking at the life of Solomon from the Old Testament. Middle school students meet from 5-7 p.m. and high school students meet from 7-8:30 p.m. All students gather in The Intersection Youth Center, located on the upper floor of the church. The Curbside Caf will also be open! It features cheeseburgers, loaded nachos, pizza, candy and concessions at minimal prices for students. All students, 6th-12th grade are welcome!

Cape Baptist Church

It's official - Cape Baptist Church is now offering AWANA youth clubs for children ages 3 years old through 6th grade! Each Wednesday, kids will have an exciting time playing games, winning prizes and learning about Jesus Christ.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral

Join Evangelical Presbyterian Church tomorrow, Oct. 28, at 10:25 a.m., as Pastor Brent Lauder preaches from Romans 3:9-31, titled, "The Hinge on Which all Religion Turns." Then return to EPC later on in the evening for our Trunk or Treat 2012 event! We will gather in the church parking lot at 5:50 p.m.

Children from toddlers through 5th grade will visit the trunks and play games. The youth group age (grade 7-12) will be forming teams and competing in the annual "Pumpkin Projectile" games. Children and youth are also encouraged to dress in non-scary costumes to be judged at the end of the evening by our panel of esteemed judges. Fun, fellowship and fearless pumpkin flinging will all be part of the evening's festivities.

The church offers counseling services to individuals, couples and groups. All of us, from time to time, face challenges that threaten our security and exhaust our emotional and spiritual strength. It is not God's design that we struggle through these difficult times alone - help is available. Colleen Shue is the director of counseling. Call 549-5556, extension 18, to make an appointment. No fees for church members and a sliding scale fee for non-church members.

Sunday morning worship service starts at 10:25 a.m. to noon. Adult and Youth Sunday school classes, ages 2 through 8th grade, are offered starting at 9:15 a.m. During worship service and Sunday school hour, director Stacey Lakes provides a loving place for infants to Pre-K. unday evenings at 5:30 p.m. dinner is served in Fellowship Hall followed by a time of praise and worship at 6 p.m. Children's program and youth group meet on Sunday nights as well.

Faith Bible Fellowship

Fort Myers Christian Church

Fort Myers Christian Church will host its annual Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 27. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Fest is open to everyone. The Fest will have games (with prizes), a bounce house, slide, face painting, hot dogs, lemon shake-ups, and popcorn - all free!

The Corvette Club of Fort Myers will have several prize cars on display. There will be a Bake Sale at the same time of our Fest.

First Congregational Church

Fleamarket & Holiday Bazaar will be held at First Congregational Church, 312 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Many vendors will be there selling holiday items, crafts, plants, housewares, collectibles and much more.
