Jesse Lee White Jr., 75, a Cape Coral resident since 2001, formerly of Lakeland, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in Cape Coral. He was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Portsmouth, N.H., to U.S. Navy Commander Jesse White and Daisy White, now deceased.
He was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served for over 34 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Wanda L. White of Cape Coral; four children, Patricia A. (Douglas) Berg of Yoder, Colo., Jesse L. (Susan) White III of Ramona, Calif., Matthew D. White, also of Ramona, and Theresa M. (Elias) Jaurequi of Ramona, Calif; two step-children, Jerry L. Corbett of Erie, Pa., and Robert K. (Deborah) Corbett of Sunrise, Fla.; a sister, Patricia (James) Maguire of West Orange, N.J., and Lakewood Ranch, Fla.; a half sister, Katherine (Ron) Rogers of Dallas, Texas; two half brothers, Albert White of Hickson, Texas, and Thomas White of Jacksonville, Fla.; as well as 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half brother, John White, in 2004.
