JACKSONVILLE Following Tuesday's final round of play at the 2012 JU Courtyard Classic at Hidden Hills Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla., the FGCU women's golf team placed fourth on the 10-team leaderboard.
Sopho-more Georgia Price led the Eagles, finishing in first place overall after winning a three-hole playoff.
"Today we struggled a bit as a team," said head coach Sarah Trew. "I'm extremely proud of Georgia for winning this event and I'm very happy with her play over the last two tournaments. Our team is really starting to come together and see the results of hard work. I can't wait to get back on the course this weekend."
Entering the day in tied for second place, the Eagles shot a 308 on the final day, bringing their team score to 310-294-308/912 (+48) to place fourth, just one stroke back of third place South Ala-bama (309-300-302/911) and two strokes behind of second place Daytona State (308-296-306/910).
