Donna Sue (Gunsaulus) Fowell, 63, was born in LaPorte, Ind., Nov. 19, 1948, and passed away Sept. 27, 2012, at Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, after a heroic battle of 2 1/2 years with lung cancer. To mourn her passing is her husband of 30 years, Byron (Buck) Fowell, and her parents, Donald and Nadine Gunsaulus of Fort Myers. She also leaves behind a daughter, Michele Contestable (William) of Chico, Calif., and a son, Michael Brady (Andrea) of Broomfield, Colo. She has seven grandchildren, Paija, Payton, Chloe and Lillian Contestable and Sebastian, Isabella and Loraina Brady.
She will be missed by her brother, David Gunsaulus (Laurel Ann) of Chelan, Wash.; sisters, Kristine Gunsaulus Musick (David) of Lyons, Colo., Cari Gunsaulus (Ken McKinney), Jo Ellen Carns (Al Curry) of Fort Myers and Amy Long (Daniel) of LaHabra Heights, Calif.
She also leaves many cousins and nieces and nephews and extended family members to mourn.

During her life, she has been a licensed hairdresser, and became a real estate broker, most recently employed by Grubb & Ellis in Santa Ana, Calif. She loved her friends and family and enjoyed any and all celebrations, especially when it included dancing! She and her husband were avid NASCAR fans. Her culinary prowess was well known, she loved watching chefs on TV, and thought she may have missed her calling.
A celebration of her life will be held at an unspecified date in the future.
