The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that WRXK-FM (K-Rock, 96.1 FM) is the exclusive radio home for Florida Everblades hockey broadcasts this season.

96 K-Rock will broadcast 69 of the team's 72 regular season games during the 2012-13 season.

"We are thrilled to finally be on the FM dial, especially with Beasley Broadcasting and the 100,000-watt 96 K-Rock station," said Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush. "This will give our fans the opportunity to listen to Everblades games throughout our whole marketplace."

96 K-Rock is based in Estero and serves the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, and Marco Island area.

Last season Everblades games were broadcast on ESPN 770-AM, also owned by Beasley Broadcasting.

Alex Reed returns for his second season as the Blades play-by-play announcer. Fans also can listen to games online by accessing the proper links provided on the 96 K-Rock website and at www.floridaeverblades.com.

The Blades open their 15th anniversary season at Germain Arena on Friday, Oct. 12, against the Orlando Solar Bears. The two teams also meet a week earlier in a pair of preseason exhibition games at Germain Arena on Oct. 5 and 6.

Individual game tickets are available at the arena box office.

Season and partial-season ticket packages start at $380 per seat for all 36 home games and $150, respectively. For ticket information call (239) 948-7825.
