Every year Lee County Alliance for the Arts member artists are given the chance to exhibit their work in the main gallery. This year's Member Exhibit is themed "Black & White."
Each artist who is a current member is invited to submit one piece that follows the theme and contains no color. Non-members are encouraged to join in order to take advantage of this membership benefit. The opening reception is Friday, Aug. 10, from 5-7:30 p.m.
Artwork in all mediums will be accepted and should be delivered to the Alliance wired, framed and ready to hang on Monday or Tuesday, Aug. 7-8, during normal business hours. Entries that have previously been shown at the Alliance will not be accepted.
Individual Alliance memberships are $50 annually and offer valuable benefits including additional exhibition opportunities, discounted entry fees and an artist listing on www.LeeCulture.org.
More information and the "Black & White" artist prospectus is available at the Alliance for the Arts on the corner of Colonial and McGregor, online at www.ArtInLee.org or can be requested by mail by calling (239) 939-2787.
The exhibit will run through Sept. 1.
The Alliance campus and galleries are open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
The campus is located at 10091 McGregor Blvd., just south of Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
