James (Jim) North, 63, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, after a brief illness.
He was born April 29, 1949, in Fannettsburg, Pa., and moved to Florida in 2002.
He served in the army from 1970-1976 and earned his college degree while in the Army. He was an entrepreneur and had a successful software consulting business for 25 years. He had a passion for offshore fishing and enjoyed time with family and friends on his boat, the Lori B. He is remembered by his loved ones for his keen wit, intelligence, kindness, strength and bravery. He was lovingly known for always "having a plan."

Mr. North is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lori Cook North; children, Nicole North (Frank) Rodriguez of Palm Harbor, Adam (Kris) North of Independence, Mo., and Erin North of Cape Coral and her fiance Claus Schwochert. He had eight grandchildren, Bricen, Mandy, Nickolas, Kylee, Caden, Lily, Graham and Jack. He is also survived by sister, Connie (Jack) Truelove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Jim North, and son, James Christian North.
Celebration of Life memorial services will be Wednesday, June 6th at 10:30 am at Cape Christian Fellowship Church, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral, in the outdoor fountain area.
Funeral arrangements are provided by Mullins Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
