Anglican Church in Cape

Those interested in helping to launch an Anglican Church (ACNA) in Cape Coral, please call 405-973-5654, or attend an informational meeting at the Cape Coral Library, Wednesday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. The library address 921 S.W. 39th Terrace.

Cape Alliance Church

Monday evenings at 7, Women in the Word continue its Bible study of 1st and 2nd Corinthians. Make new friends. A complete schedule of the spring session is located at www.Cape4Christ.org.

Each Tuesday morning at 10, Older Adults Knowing the Savior (OAKS) study various Bible books and topics. All older adults are welcome to participate.

Join reading friends at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month in the Cape Alliance family room to discuss classic and contemporary Christian books. A schedule of the books to be discussed is available at www.Cape4Christ.org.

Thursdays at 6:15 p.m., the church offers free English lessons to anyone interested. Bring your friends.

Each second and fourth Thursday at 6 p.m., women gather to knit and crochet shawls and pray for others. Participate in this interesting ministry to the community and world.

Sunday evenings at 6, AWANA and student activities are available to kids age 3 through 5th grade and teens grade 6 to 12. All kids and teens are encouraged to come.

Cape Christian Fellowship

Cape Christian Fellowship has a worship time and style to fit everyone! Contemporary Worship is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 and 11:15. Traditions, which incorporates classic hymns and a more relaxing atmosphere, is held on Sunday mornings at 8:30. The newest service offering, Family Nights, is held Fridays at 6:30 p.m., and is always followed by a special event or activity for the whole family to enjoy!

During our 9:45 and 11:15 a.m, worship gatherings, Bugz Landing is where infants through Pre-K learn about how God loves them and how Jesus is their forever friend. KidzStreet is for children from kindergarten through 5th grade and Infuse is where middle school students learn to grow in their faith. There is a special service every Wednesday night, "Awakening" for high school students, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Cape Coral First United Methodist

Cape Coral First United Methodist church's current sermon series is entitled, "One Month to Live." What would happen if you were suddenly told that you only had one month to live? How would you make sure the days you had left were lived to their fullest potential for God and yourself?

The congregation will explore what that means from a Biblical standpoint by embracing our mortality and letting it teach us how to live authentically for God in the here and now.

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! Children will "Dare to Go Deep with God" during Operation Overboard to be held June 4 to June 3 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. VBS is free for all children ages 3 years old to 5th grade and will include dinner. Foundations Early Learning Center provides childcare, preschool and afterschool care for children from infants to 4 years old in a new facility as part of the growing family and youth programs at Cape Coral First United Methodist Church. Summer Camp for kids 5 to 8 years begins May 29 and free VPK will be offered starting in August.

Crosspoint Christian Church

Crosspoint Christian Church launched a third Sunday morning worship service starting Sunday, March 4.

Crosspoint moved to its new home at 204 S.W. 11th Place at the beginning of December. Sunday morning attendance has jumped to over 500 each week. To create more space for continued growth, Crosspoint will be offering a third worship service each Sunday. Service times are now at 8:30, 9:50 and 11:10 a.m.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral

Join the congregation Sunday morning at 10:20 a.m., as Pastor Brent Lauder speaks from John 21:15-19, entitled "Pardon for The Proud."

The church offers counseling services to individuals, couples and groups. All of us, from time to time, face challenges that threaten our security and exhaust our emotional and spiritual strength. Israel Fest April 22 at the Jewish Federation

Israel Fest, sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte Counties, is a celebration of Israeli Independence Day through Israeli arts, food and music. Israel Fest will be held Sunday, April 22, from 12:30-4 p.m., at the Jewish Federation, 9701 Commerce Center Court (off Bass and Summerlin roads), Fort Myers.

The celebration will feature a shaded area (with chairs) to enjoy the celebration and listen to live music; delicious fresh food prepared by Chef Dalia Hemed; Rita's Ices; adults and children from Temple Beth El and Temple Judea singing; Lynn and Joe Goldovitz performing Israeli and Jewish folk music; The Shalom Dancers performing and teach Israeli dances; a craft booth where of kids all ages can make arts and crafts free of charge; a spot for kids to create T-shirt with their name in Hebrew, for a nominal fee; the popular Archaeology Dig; a 10-foot x 60-foot display depicting Israel's history and the history of Jews in Florida; local temples and Jewish organizations with booths with program/event information; and vendors selling gifts and jewelry

The church's "Missionary of the Month" is Dr. Cornelius Hegeman, academic dean at Miami International Seminary. Hegeman supervises distance education for pastors around the world.

Hegeman travels extensively throughout Latin America, teaching classes to pastors of churches who lack a desirable level of education. Regular seminary-level courses are offered in all areas, and degrees are awarded as the students advance to higher levels of learning. The pastors then teach others courses so that the program is growing exponentially.
