Cape Coral Daily Breeze

Adventist Church

A seminar to study the Bible book of Revelation, "Unlocking Revelation," is offered free to the public starting Oct. 9, on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at 7 at the Adventist Church Auditorium at 1813 El Dorado Parkway, Cape Coral. (Directions: 3 blocks west of Chiquita Boulevard, south of Cape Coral Parkway). Classes will be for 5 weeks.

Participants will receive free, colorful Bible lessons and many other helpful resource materials. There will be free child care for ages 4-10.

Pastor Roger Lucas, PhD, a specialist in New Testament studies, has presented this seminar to the enrichment and appreciation of audiences in several locations throughout the United States.

Cape Christian Fellowship

This weekend Pastor Dennis Gingerich continues the series Bold Crossings with the message "Our Role in God's Work." Contemporary worship gatherings are Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:15 a.m.

During worship gatherings, Bugz Landing is a safe and caring place for infants through Pre-K5 and Kidz Street is open for K-Grade 5 (8:30 a.m. service only provides childcare for 0-2 years old). Energy is a class for middle school students during worship gatherings each weekend.

Middle school students are invited to Energy every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. High school students are invited to Awakening every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Cape Coral First United Methodist Church

Cape Coral First United Methodist Church's new sermon series is "Why? Making Sense of God's Will." Does everything happen for a reason? Why do some prayers seem to be answered and others not? Foundations Early Learning Center is now open. Foundations Early Learning Center provides childcare, preschool and afterschool care for children from infants to 8 years old in a new facility as part of the growing family and youth programs at Cape Coral First United Methodist Church. Chabad Jewish center

The Chabad Jewish center offers free services for the Jewish high holiday of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur

Chabad's services are "user-friendly," making it enjoyable and meaningful for both the beginner and the advanced. Song, commentary and the use of English-Hebrew prayer books, enable those of all levels to become active participants in the services.

Yom Kippur begins this year after sundown on the eve of Oct. 7 and extends until nightfall on Oct. 8.

DayBreak Fellowship

Annual Homecoming Picnic-DayBreak Fellowship is celebrating its 13th anniversary with an outdoor contemporary worship service with praise band beginning at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 2. A picnic with barbecue ribs, hot dogs, side dishes and desserts follows the service. There will be organized games and activities for the kids. Presbyterian Church

Women of the Word is a program that bring women in the Lee County area together to support one another in their faith. This fall season women from a variety of faith backgrounds meet weekly to study the book of Nehemiah.

The study meets Tuesday mornings from 9-11 or Tuesday evenings 7-9 at Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 701 Mohawk Parkway, in Cape Coral.

There is a complete nursery and children's program, including home-schoolers for morning session only.

Healing Prayer

Afghan Ministry

A Life In Christ invites all knitting or crocheting prayer warriors in Cape Coral to join our Healing Prayer Afghan Ministry Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. HPA knits and crochets 6-inch x 6-inch or 8-inch x 8-inch afghan squares that are pieced together into afghans that are given away freely to the ill or grieving.

Only 100 percent Acrylic 4-ply medium worsted weight yarn (washable, fade resistant, mothproof) is used. Volunteers pray for the healing, comfort, financial peace and salvation of each afghan recipient.

Anyone with even beginning knitting / crocheting skills may participate. There is no cost to join, and supplies are available for volunteers to use on site. HPA meets each Friday at Cuppa Life, a coffee and sandwich shop at Del Prado Mall, in the same plaza as TJ Maxx.

The messages delivered by Rev. Allen Vander Pol

Vander Pol, the former pastor, writes theology courses in English for students around the world who study with the Miami International Seminary (MINTS). He writes courses in systematic doctrinal theology. He supervises students and study centers in Southeast Asia. Presently he travels to India, Myanmar and the Philippines to teach and supervise the work of the study centers.

Celebration a Life In Christ

Join A Life In Christ for an old-fashioned Hymn Sing and Gospel Celebration Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cuppa Life coffee shop, located in Del Prado Mall, in the same plaza as Office Max and TJ Maxx.

The program is open to the public. We will take song requests, and hymnals will be provided.
