SEAGROVE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Emergency crews say a tourist from Canada was found dead off a Panhandle beach just hours after another tourist from Illinois drowned in the same area.

The two men died Tuesday on a popular stretch of tourist beaches between the Panhandle towns of Destin and Panama City.

Frederick Paul Barrett, 61, of Nova Scotia, Canada, was found floating in the water late Tuesday afternoon. Earlier that day, Walton County emergency responders pulled 58-year-old Richard Strobl, of Gulford, Ill., to the beach, but were unable to resuscitate him.
