ORLANDO (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden lamented Florida's missed chance to have high speed rail at a fundraiser for U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in central Florida.
Biden told about 150 donors from metro Orlando Wednesday that high speed rail in Florida made sense.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott recently rejected $2.4 billion in federal money geared toward starting a high speed rail line between Tampa and Orlando.
Biden spoke at the Winter Park home of an Orlando-area developer.
Donors paid $500 each to attend.
Biden was scheduled to attend another fundraiser for Nelson in Tampa later in the day.
