ORLANDO (AP) - A central Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing another man over a spilled beer and then plotting to kill witnesses.

Eduardo Adolfo Gonzalez received consecutive life sentences Monday after pleading guilty to murder with a firearm and attempted murder. He received additional sentences for conspiracy and solicitation to commit murder and witness tampering.

Authorities say the 23-year-old fatally shot 18-year-old Jamie Adair in May 2006, after someone in Adair's group at Donnelly's Pub near the University of Central Florida got bumped and spilled beer on somebody in Gonzalez's group. Gonzalez later shot Adair and another person, who survived, during a fight outside.

Gonzalez also tried to hire a hit man, who turned out to be an undercover deputy, to kill witnesses.
