Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer 2 Douglas E. Chase is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.

The soldiers return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.

Chase, a property book officer, is a member of the 211th Military Police Battalion, Lexington, Mass. He has served in the military for 17 years.

He is the son of Nathan E. and Joyce Chase of Fintonrod St., Port Charlotte, Fla.

His wife, Melissa, is the daughter of Paul and Jane Corriveau of Pryer Drive, Pocasset, Mass.

In 1987, Chase graduated from Barnstable High School, Hyannis, Mass.
