Kids can read down fines Oct. 17, 22, 26

Exhibits in the art gallery: October continues to have talented Hispanic/Latino artists exhibiting together for us all to appreciate.

Library programs

- Craft corner, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching, 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct, 12, 26. Registration requested.

- Bagels, books and banter, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27. Registration requested.

- English Caf, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 20, 27, at 6 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m. Participants may start at any time and advanced registration is not necessary.

- Book discussion: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2 and 4 p.m.

- Chess: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, (ages 13 to 18) Oct. 13, 20, 27.

- Storytime is a library program of picture booksharing, finger plays songs and other activities.

- Kids read down fines, 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 26, 3:30 p.m.. Thursday, Oct. 22. Take care of fines by reading. For ages 18 and under. Registration required.

- iLIKE, teen program, Monday, Oct. 12, 5:30-6:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. Following the Read Beyond Reality, Teen Read Week theme. Registration requited.

- Before Twilight there was Dracula. A teen program, Monday, Oct. 19, 5-8 p.m., Read Beyond Reality at your library celebrate Teen Read Week. A special showing of Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.

- Spooktacular: Get ready for a haunting good time. Children's program, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2-3 p.m. Wear Halloween costume. Registration required.

- Thursday Oct. 29, 2-4:30 p.m. Come for an out-of-school day with a World Tour.Sign-up at the YS reference desk for 15 minute time slots, beginning Oct. 22.
