KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) — Actress Mariel Hemingway is among the film world luminaries attending the Key West Film Festival.
Hemingway will answer questions at a screening Friday of her new documentary, "Running from Crazy," which examines her family's history of mental illness. The actress is the granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway, who once lived in Key West.
The festival opened Wednesday and continues through Sunday, showcasing roughly 35 films. Program director Michael Tuckman tells The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/1aG9Pop ) that the schedule includes small budget documentaries, foreign language films, American independent films and major spotlight titles.
"Cocaine Cowboys" director Bill Corben will attend the festival Sunday to show clips from a new version of his 2006 documentary. Corben says the version coming out in March is "a wholesale re-edit of the first movie from scratch."
