Officials identify 2 killed in boating accident

GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. (AP) — Wildlife officials have identified the two people who were killed in a boating accident in Collier County.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reported Tuesday that 48-year-old Ramiro Gomez and 36-year-old Margarita Godinez were killed when their boat capsized in a narrow canal in Golden Gate Estates. Two other passengers survived.

FWC officers continue to investigate the accident.
