We need to question the media reporting as well. Do you really think Naples Daily News doesn't know the appropriate terms with respect to responding to the current state of pollution?

It is ((adapting)) not mitigating. That ship has sailed, thanks to the Republicans genuflecting to polluters.

We are now getting a triple whammy or nutrient loading, acidification, and warming.

Where is the outrage at Republicans?

More background on the impact of pollution that is protected by the President and Republicans in general.

Read and see their feckless attempts to appear to be doing something to "mitigate" the environmental destruction they usher to the domain of the living:

Naples woman brings experience to governor's red tide task force We know enough about environmental pollution and its impact. Maybe the source is beyond the toxic pollution and actually toxic politicians (Republicans).

Would it shock you to see the Republicans begin saying co2 decreases plant growth, the opposite of their previous "faith based belief" (aka tribal doctrine)?

The increasing amount of co2 causes a problem for people, animals and aquatic ecosystems around the world. Carbon dioxide rapidly diffuses into the water causing the pH to become more acidic.

Samples of tape grass were incubated in water with a pH ranging from 8.2 to 5.7. It was found that at the pH’s 6.7 and 8.2, tape grass experienced no production. At more acidic 5.7 and 6.2, tape grass experienced significantly higher production rates.

FYI, introducing co2 into the environment is producing more than a Global Warming crisis. I recall some Republicans saying more co2 was good for plant growth.

As more fossil fuel burning cars, electric utilities and factories are used, the amount of co2 being released into the atmosphere is increasing.

In the last 250 years, the amount of co2 in the atmosphere has increased from approximately 280 parts per million to nearly 384 parts per million in 2007.
