antico -- What you are observing there is properly named "mental compartmentalization" in which conflicting ideas can be held in one's mind without him/her being consciously aware of it -- until some mean person points it out : And then it will likely be denied ! !

It is a very popular dodge amongst the GoPers ! !

When you give federal tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy (85% went to them) you can make bet on increased local fees and taxes taking up the slack of cut backs by the federal government. Do I have to spell it out for u? Ask yourself if costs of anything have declined. And I won’t bother ribbing u about the debt and deficit. Tax and spend Democrats……I don’t think so.

Some people never learn!

A truly beneficial change would be simply to eliminate city government.
