Everyone should watch last Mondays council meeting. Mayor Coviello showed his true colors & his temper. Even prior to the vote in which CM Stokes CAVED, Coviello basically admitted that he had already cleared his calendar for this trip at the end of the month. CM Gunther's responses were "spot on". Kudos to Gunther who really did his homework. Looking forward to what else CM Gunther unearths. Kudos to CW Cosden & CW Nelsen for not allowing Coviello to intimidate them. Unfortunately, CM Stokes didn't have the backbone. As usual, Stout was brown nosing and Carioscia was speechless as Carioscia is looking forward to playing Mayor during this China trip.

The issue you should have brought to the Public's attention is how the Mayor used his Eco Lab friends to show up and comment positively on the China visit when it was not listed or added to the agenda and then had one of his council members bring up the China visit issue for a vote. Three council members had reservations on the transparency of the vote without being an agenda item and/or wanted more information. The concerns were discarded by the Mayor and he used the wording as those Council members concerns being disingenuous. I believe the Mayor was disingenuous in not adding the China visit in advance to the agenda providing an opportunity for all public inputs not just so those who supported the Mayor. I'm thankful for the three Council members who voiced their concerns and voted no based on those concerns not being addressed. I question why the other three council members didn't want those concerns addressed and sided with the mayor in a 4 to 3 vote approving the China trip. .
