I guess Scott is aiming at being a Congressman. I wonder if his donating a couple of thousands to a soup kitchen from funds he has that come from police raids on drug or money from illegal RICO acts that are aimed at buying needed police/sheriff equipment. I guess he has the power to spend this money anyway he sees fit. I guess he can use it for his campaign!!! Is anyone watching the hen house!!!

The County Commissioners? Nice track record they have lately. If you tell me they were instrumental in fathoming a problem with Bigalow for using drugs, hanging out with underage teen or detected a problem with giving away $5 million to VR Labs or putting inKottcamp as CEO to protect our money and secure the number of jobs contrated for. Then I'll stand corrected.

Is this the same sheriff who refused to stop hanging out with a convicted felon? Is this the same sheriff who uses his uniform to make political comments against a Presidential candidate? Is this the same sheriff who uses public monies to run self serving info ads to boost his own candidacy? Is this the same sheriff who treats his deputy friends to different rules than he does other deputies? This sheriff is just cause to remove the election of sheriffs and have the county commission hire a boss, like other cities do for their chiefs!

While I seldom agree with Mike Scott concerning his positions on political issues, I have to agree with him in this instance. Radel is a long-time drug abuser and isn’t fit to hold his position in Congress. He should resign immediately and put this nightmare behind him because it isn’t going away.

Being a representative in this community and within district 19 I applaud Sheriff Mike Scott for having the backbone to stand up for the majority of the citizens. His opinion is what was shown in media polls that Trey Radel should step down from office. Thank you.

Sheriff Scott, unfortunately the bar in Washington (for both parties) has been lowered so far to this point that a world class limbo artist could not get under it.

Amen, NN! I rarely agree with Scott either, but was happy to see this piece. Just heard the other day that Radel's friends were NOT surprised by this whole mess; what shocked them was that he made it to DC in the first place. Confirms my suspicions from the get-go that this wasn't the first time, nor will it be the last if he can't even form his lips to utter the word "cocaine" or "drug abuse." Get real, Radel. And quit.
