Here we go again, like a recurring nightmare.

While I do not think the idea was or is bad to have a board to report to the city council. I think the city council could have rebuilt the board that had flawed leadership. The concept changed several times under the director they had in place and the board had no real vision, a changing plan and not timeline or real results to the plan. The businesses in the district should input but not have the city provide them with normal services they can and should provide for themselves. The non business taxpayer who would be the customer in that district does not want these businesses to become a total dependent using city tax as a money pit to sustain their existence. There are already two plans with themes. One a European city theme with living and office space above retail space on the street level. The second theme is a "Key West" sort of eclectic come as you may look, low profile buildings etc. How much is the cost and can we aff

Lastly set a Timeline and build to the plan.

Also interesting how in the article. bankers are capitalized.

I wonder who we are bailing out this week?
