As far as the "recycled" candidates are concerned ask yourself a few questions.

Why did they not receive a second term after their first performance on the council?

Where have they been since they were not successful in their last bid for office? No opinions after their defeat? No opinions during these difficult times?

One thing is sure just like many recycled products they do lack strength in the fiber.

Burch appointed to a council with a HUGE water/sewer project and owner of a company that did some of the design work on the project.

Sold the business after his 63% defeat. I bet he had plenty of free(?) advise to the rest of the council members on the project he could not vote on.

A. J. Boyd Jr. go back in the archives and read how he voted for as he says his friends that are hurting. Watch words "His Friends".

Keep in mind as you watch an amortize your new Utility Tax on each kilowatt hour you use. Let's say more than $125 a year beginning Oct 1, 2013.

Fire assessment of $93 for a small home and $230 for a large home as another separate tax. But let's not forget about the increase in valuation. When estimated at 6.5% our illustrious city manager stated. "It will only be an increase of $1.2 million in tax dollars. Now we find it is really up 7.13% which will bring in almost $6 million. A difference just over a half of a percent brings in almost an additional $5.3 million. By the way $6 million had been the amount of the city's reserve in prior budgets.

Bottom line these cost are more than the "cost of a pizza" (McGrail's famous lie).

STUDY the candidates and PROTECT yourselves against the lies and the money that will make you poor!

Headd lost his bid for office 2004-2005 election. Burch lost his bid for election to Mayor. Boyd served TWO terms, voted in for the second term. He was term limited. He did run eons ago for Mayor and lost.Burch ran for Dist. 1 and won. Just thought I would share the info.

Those who are waiting for the valuations to increase so they can sell and get out, now's the time. GoodBye.

Lolita, don't forget that Boyd ran for County Commissioner once too. He was a loser there as well. Some people just want to keep feeding at the gov't trough. New addition man, David Carr, runs with one of the biggest All will come out during the next two months. Voters, beware.

I guess our U.S. economy is taking its toll on the "once I was somebody crowd." Here comes the old losers looking for a nice easy payday screwing the tax payers again. Go find a job, you people will lose again. Pay for your own health insurance!!!
