That terrible Cape Coral City Council has done it again!

May 9, 2013

To the editor: Back before Terry Stewart was run out of town, he and that council alone caused not only the collapse of the Cape Coral economy, but all of Florida and most of the United States! (He......

Dimbulb: have you no shame? At every opportunity Sullivan, Dilie, Brand, and all other RAG runners said that the first thing they would do was fire Stuart! Are you serious? It was noted at all candidate forums and interviews at the time. It explains why he put in his resignation at the earliest opportunity rather than lose all benefits. There was a non-disclosure, no comment aspect of his termination agreement but NONE of RAGs has abided by it. Dilie, Brand, Leest, Sullivan and Kuehn have for 5 years slandered, libeled and vilified this man. It is my serious wish that he and Carl Schwing would sue the pants off you all and Cape Coral. They could not help but win! Oh, speaking of law suits, what of the Sully, Dilie law suit claiming damages for the UEP? How much did that cost the taxpayers? A good memory is a powerful thing!

@JJSully: If you are the Mayor: you are a mean spirited nasty pompous, unhappy man. Please point out even ONE Republican that is happy. Fact is, none are. Stuart and Schwing were merely the head of all departments. They had NO power not does Szerlag. You are saying that they have power they don’t have. LIE. That could only happen if those on council DIDN’T DO THE JOB! Can we talk about Lurch who did not attend the whole presentation of the Burton Report at the yacht club then saying that Special Pops would not be affected? He would have known that they were at risk if he hadn’t been outside trying to pimp his Cavalier King Charles backyard breedings! SHAME SHAME SHAME

I see that Bill Wendt has drunk the kool aid of the Slick Six and the hair club for men poster boy city manager. The sky is falling as pompous McGrail would have us believe. It is pure and simple a way to put more money in the unions pockets. Expect huge pay raises and an increase in benefits to these "unsung" heros of cape coral. The shovel leaners and truck sleepers have their heros in office. We need to get them removed as soon as possible.

netransplant you heard Stewart would be fired on the news? No In the newspaper? No At the council meeting before they were elected No. After they were elected at a council meeting? No. Where did you hear it? Did you make it up? Did you hear in a backroom? Tell everyone where you personally heard it. Tell us you heard it from a friend of a friend. In law enforcement that story has been around the block more than a few times. It usually goes more like where did you get that? Oh a friend of a friend whose name I don't know, don't recall, etc., etc. Too masny doozies in this city!

Hey John want a laugh? Your buddy Jerry Brown solved the 46% debt problem in the state of California. He just said "its gone". Too bad it doesn't really work that way. Now we know where the term SMOKE & MIRRORS came from. Too much token and jokin!

netransplant Stewart was interviewing way before the FAB 5 had turned in papers to run for city council.

My network who lives in Seminole County let me know just in passing conversation.

Lightswitch, maybe your memory escapes you but the mayor and his buddies stated that Stewart would be fired even before they had the opportunity. I suppose too that the local communities that snatched up Terry and the Carl are less stupid than you? I think your wattage is overrated.
