January 12, 2013

Those who attend the first City Council meeting of 2013 Monday at City Hall will find the format a little different from how it was in 2012. Actually, it will be more like the format from 200....

contd. Now he can receive mail late on Monday "no problem", read it vote on it. All this with one hand behind his back and hopping up and down on his left leg. Now Martin! I will say this the county will never be this city's savior. Because they have a rats nest over there too. $577 million paid into their 2020 land preservation scam. All that time Cape Coral paid in and not one piece of land purchased to be preserved here. Never noticed never mentioned until the so called ROAD AHEAD GANG like Sullivan and Leetz made it an issue. $48,000 paid out 10 years in a row to the Horizon Metropolitan Planning for a stinking vote the city never used. Mayor Sullivan found this out and held the check when he took office. $480,000 in ten years wasted! Could have built a heck of an animal control. If only the people had the confidence in the city or the county. Anyone need a helicopter or help from $3 million of over billing by the county. Too bad there are some good people caught in thi

How did everyone enjoy the water and sewer emergency. I will say the council stuck to its guns and said no. This time.

It took consultants again to tell us what we have known for well over a couple of years. Strengths and weaknesses. Yes Sir!

I did laugh at the thought of the example of the mechanic forgetting a bolt and having to walk a great distance. Thus taking more time to fix the vehicle. Did anyone think the bolt was left off? Probably a consultant should be called to bring in a tricycle, pedway or golf cart not in use at the Coral Oaks Golf course?

Anyone catch the high cost of water and sewer lines? Just under $4,600. It's just magic! Too bad those not in a gated community get to pay $17-$22 thousand not counting hookup. Ten years out of a firetruck? Yeah if you don't maintain it. Management that can't teach, can't lead, and can't get production out of their charges. Wonderful. Fourth time the meeting was not really prepped for. The guy who could not get mail

It will be interesting to see what is suppressed from the public in the name of "it needs immediate attention." Back to the ways of the 2009 council that left a city treasury nearly empty and was always a DAY late millions of dollars SHORTATE, and "I know how to do it BURTOLINI. Give the people a list in the media of the fleet of fire apparatus with date of manufactured, then check the state and national expected age of like equipment. Fleet maintenance as we discovered by former city manager Gary King had asst. director and management that could not even schedule work to be done. Bono the long time manager before he retired 4 yr ago must have kept the people under him uninformed and under trained and managed. Why did the chief Van Heldon before council establish a clipboard system to check equipment and make sure it had been repaired? Because the so called engineers did not do their job and the battalion chiefs did not manage which by definition is part of their job. N
