| | Association Members Speak at Board MeetingsNovember 16, 2011 - Sylvia HeldrethThe new most recent legislative session changed the rules about speaking at community association board meetings. It used to be that the members only had the right to speak at board meetings for at least three minutes about items placed on the agenda by petition of the voting interest. Now the three minute rule has been removed and the board can limit comments to less than three minutes BUT the member can talk about any agenda item without a petition. Does this make it easier for association members to express themselves, or does it limit their input? What do you think? Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
