| | Board Member Protests Bills by not PayingMarch 9, 2011 - Sylvia HeldrethOur condominium board has a member who votes against spending anything to maintain the property. He claims that we should do some of the work ourselves, like mowing the lawn. Now he has refused to pay his association dues. Once he's 90 days past due, statutes require that he be removed from the board. His friends say he has a right to protest by not paying for expenses he doesn't believe should be incurred.
